Selborne Brickworks: clay for brickmaking

This application 20661/050, if approved, bridges the gap in clay supply to the brickworks when it restarts.

Restarting the brickworks is contingent upon receipt of other planning consents from HCC
(20661/048) and SDNP (20661/069) to allow the construction of an anaerobic digester. This means
that brick production and concomitant employment can start at least 12 months earlier that they
would if we had to wait for the clay pit application to be completed
