A325 30/40/50 Sleaford-Bordon

EFFECT OF ORDER: will be to amend existing and impose new speed limits in the Bordon, Whitehill and Sleaford areas as follows:

1. 30mph (by virtue of a prescribed system of street lighting) – existing derestricted

(i) New Whitehill/Bordon relief road between its roundabout junction with A325 Petersfield Road and a point 983 metres south-west thereof.

(ii) A325 Petersfield Road – extension of the existing 30mph limit by 128 metres, i.e. the restriction will be in effect between a point 336 metres north of its junction with B3002 Station Road and a point 272 metres south of its junction with C114 Liphook Road/Firgrove Road, an approximate distance of 3238 metres (including the circulatory carriageway of the roundabout at the junction with the relief road).

2. 40mph – existing derestricted

A325 Petersfield Road between a point 336 metres north of its junction with B3002 Station Road and a point 338 metres north of that point.

3. 50mph – existing derestricted

A325 Petersfield Road/High Street/Camp Road/Farnham Road between a point 188 metres south of its junction with B3004 Broxhead Farm Road and a point 645 metres south of that point.

FURTHER DETAILS: A copy of this notice, the proposed order, a map showing the location and effect of the proposal, a statement of reasons and the orders to be revoked may be viewed in the appended document or inspected during the usual office hours at the following places:

(i) Bordon Library, Forest Centre, Pinehill Road, Bordon (Opening hours : Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 9.30 – 5; Saturdays 9 – 1)

(ii) Council Offices, Penns Place, Petersfield (Opening hours : Mondays to Fridays 9 – 5)

(iii) Hampshire County Council Headquarters, The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UJ (Opening hours : Mondays to Thursdays 8.30 – 5.15; Fridays 8.30 – 4.45)

OBJECTIONS: All objections and other representations in respect of this proposal must be sent in writing to the undersigned quoting reference:- C743/MB by 11 January 2016. All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Persons wishing to make objections or other representations are advised that in the order-making process, objections or other representations may become publicly available and therefore the names and addresses of those persons making objections or other representations may also be made publicly available.

TITLE: The order, if made, will be known as "The Hampshire (Various Roads, Bordon, Whitehill and Sleaford) (Restricted Road and 40 and 50 Miles Per Hour Speed Limit) Order 2016."
